I was honored to be among the folks heading to Seattle to attend PASS Summit 2017, representing Key2 Consulting from November 01 – 03. Our schedule included three formal days at the conference from Wednesday through Friday, along with travel days book-ending the event. With an early start on Tuesday morning, I found myself running immediately into #SQLFamily at the Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson Airport before an 8 AM flight. It was great to see good friends right away, including Patrick LeBlanc and Devin Knight. Patrick works for Microsoft and is local to the Atlanta area, and Devin is with Pragmatic Works and was connecting from a flight from my home town of Jacksonville, Florida, travelling with many others from PW.

As a database developer working with BI, I personally took away exciting news around the newly announced, Microsoft SQL Operations Studio.

Just in case you missed it or want to watch the keynote again, PASS tv on YouTube has the keynote available!
And if you want the recap from Rohan himself, he too posted a Microsoft blog recap, in his own words!

I have many notes from sessions I attended from the first day of PASS Summit 2017 – too many to include here (for now). But I did make sure to thank the speakers via Twitter whenever possible, to express my appreciation for their work and contribution to the SQL community via their sessions.
Great sessions today from @ItzikBenGan,@GuyInACube, @patrickdba, @ike_ellis, and @UOldfield! Great start to #PASS #Summit2017! Many thanks!

And finally, our crew ended the evening the right way with dinner at Blueacre Seafood in downtown Seattle. A great meal with great folks…ending a great first full day of PASS Summit 2017!
